Change your thinking, change your life

Have you heard the story of the man arriving in a new town? He had a van full of luggage and was filling up at the petrol station. While he paid he spoke to the checkout lady. 'I'm just moving here, what are the people like? The lady answered with a question, 'what were the people like in your old town?' 'They were horrible', the man replied, 'rude and unfriendly'. The lady looked at him and said 'that's what they are like here.' Later that day, another man was also new to the town and filled up his van at the same petrol station. When he paid he spoke to the same lady; 'I'm new to town, what are the people like here?' Again she replied with a question, 'what were the people like in your old town?' 'They were lovely' the man replied, 'very warm and friendly.' She looked at him and said 'that's what they are like here.'

One of the the first things I learnt when I started my coaching journey was how much our thinking can control our lives.

We've spoken before about gratitude and how a grateful attitude can help you see the world in a more favourable way.

The same is true for your beliefs about yourself - what you think you are capable of, whether you believe the world is for or against you and even how lovable you think you are.

What you are looking for is what you will see and what you think you deserve is what you will get.

So let me remind you how powerful and capable you are!

What thinking is holding you back?
