Be yourself

Hey there,


Today I'd like to remind you to be yourself. Your wonderful, unique self. 

There is only one you in this world, so let your true self shine! 

So who are our true selves?

They are who we really are when we let go of all of the labels and judgements that we have about ourselves. Our true self is who we naturally are without the mask. 

How can we let it shine? Here are a few ideas...

1. Be more childlike. When we are young children we have less inhibitions - I remember standing on the wall outside my house singing Spice Girls at the top of my lungs for all the passers by, I was free. I didn't care what people thought of me. What would it be like if you didn't worry about what people might think of you? 

2. Become more aware of your thoughts. We have so many unconscious beliefs about who we think we need to be, that we probably picked up from somebody else. Watch out for anything you feel you should be doing rather that what you want to do. 

3. Follow your intuition rather than following the crowd. Allow yourself to think about what you really want. It's easy to follow the crowd but they may not be acting inline with your values and beliefs. You may need you to get out of your comfort zone but it will be worth it.

Ask yourself - do you feel like you have lost touch with your true self? How can you bring them back?

Be you, be weird - it's an illusion that anyone is normal anyway!
